We are almost there!

We are now just coming to the end of our 1st month and we hope the basic structure of the website is almost there.  We had some real problems sorting out the navigation site pages but  hopefully all will run smoothly from now on.

As we have been so busy setting up the website, there hasn't been much time to even think about this blog.  But all will change from now.  Of course we have much to do on the site but we should be able to find sometime now to blog on any news or items of interest that we come across.

We know there must be errors on the site and if you find any please let us know so that we can change them.

We have had some good response to our campaign of offering free profiles to buisness and service providers on our classified section.  We know there are many other companies out there, that could send in their profiles, so if you know of any please tell them about us.  It would be great if we could provide a full directory for visitors.

We feel our information section is now reasonably set up and we will endeavour to add to this as time goes by.  Here are some of the questions we feel we have been able to answer and which we feel may be of interest to visitors to the site, who maybe considering moving to, buying a property or just staying a while in North Cyprus.

Currency What is the Currency in the TRNC? Where should we exchange our money North Cyprus or the UK

Traveling to North Cyprus We want to fly will there be any problems?

Visas and Permits What you need to know if you intend to stay in the TRNC

Water Can we expect a continual water supply?

Refuse Who takes away our rubbish?

Electricity What is the supply of Electricity? Will we need a generator?

Post Is there a Post Man? Can we recieve mail from overseas?

Phones Will we have a main line phone or will we need a mobile?

Pets What about our pets can they come with us?  Please Note the answer to this is yes of course, but at present the TRNC does not come under the pet passport scheme so if you wish to return to the UK your pet may have to go into quarantine on arrival back to the UK.  This is something you would need to check out.

Media Will there be progammes in English on the tele?  Can I still get my daily newspaper?

Can I use my UK Driving License Can I export my own car?

Banks Will I need a new bank account and which one?

Weather Will I still need by bikini in December?

Of course there must be many more question and if you can think of any or if you have some answers please take the time let us know either by email, placing a comment here or on our tag board or even in our forum.

Well thats about it for now and we hope to see you back here soon.
